I LOVE PENANG

& I MISS PENANG,
alot.
once a year,
my family will go back to penang during qing ming,
to pay respects to my great grandparents.
everytime when we go back,
we would stay for three days.
it's damn damn short.
i like it when my dad drive us out in the morning.
i love the sun rise & the beach.
i like the shopping centre.
i miss gurney drive because i want to eat penang laska.
& the most important thing that i hope to achive is :
THE PENANG SLANG
i like it when the people speak.
the combination of hokkien & english is like the way we speak in singapore.
but their slang is very nice.
i like to listen to it & i will ask my parents to do the slang for me.
sometimes accidentally when i talk to my dad on the phone,
i will also speak the penang slang. <3.

i went to search for some photos of penang.
& oh my god,
i really feel like going back there this moment.
it's damn fucking nice.
i will have to wait for so damn long before i can go back next year.

penang bridge
you have to cross this 13km bridge to get to penang island.
it is the longest in asia.


the streets of penang & gurney drive
the streets of penang may be old,
but they are full of life.
in the morning,
there is the wet market.
at night,
there's gurney drive.
few years back,
it was affected by the tsunami.
now,
it's back at it's original position.
the open space hawker has the best food in penang.
one time,
i ate 2 bowls of penang laska there.





temples
there are alot of temples in penang.
every year when i go back,
i will visit the wat chayamangkalaram temple.
it's a thai temple.
my great grandparents ashes are put there.
two years back,
i also visited the kek lok si temple.
it's the biggest buddhist temple in penang.
& there's this big buddha statue.

beach & scenery
the beach in penang is beautiful.
i love it there.
i didn't went there this year because i didn't stay near the beach.
that's very sad for me.
because i love the beach alot.
the scenery is fantastic.
although there alot of old houses,
but the skyscrapers are rather okay.
